Back Glass and Back Microphone Broken

So I dropped my iphone and the back glass broke on the mic near the camera. My text to speech works and my videos with my back/front camera work. What doesn’t work is calling people, FaceTiming people, and voice memos. With the ones that don’t work, it makes a static noise with rapid clicking. I think it’s broken but I just want to make sure.

iPhone 15 Max microphone cuts out during calls I have an iPhone 15 Max. The microphone is erratic. I could be in a long phone conversation and it works fine, but then suddenly just cuts out. I called the person back and it still wasn’t working, even if I switch to speakerphone. This has happened multiple times on calls with different people.

Microphone faulty when filming on Camera app I have an iPhone 11. Whenever I film anything using the Camera app, the audio is really bad, like it’s inside a pocket, or something like that and it randomly sounds normal again for 2 seconds then goes back to sounding awful. I can barely hear anything in my videos. The thing is, this doesn’t happen with any other app. Filming on Instagram works perfectly fine and audio is clear, same for voice memos, phone calls etc. Someone on Reddit had the same problem for a different model and suggested to turn off “Record stereo sound” in settings, but this didn’t help me as audio still cuts off randomly during filming. I don’t have an Apple store anywhere near me, so that’s not an option. As for restarting the phone, it has been restarted multiple times since I have this problem and it’s been the same. I have one software update waiting but there have been multiple of those too since I’ve had this issue and none of them fixed it. Any suggestions?

If your phone uses a physical SIM card, try removing it then reinserting it. If that doesn't work, make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it diagnosed.
