Music not working after ios17 update

I updated my ipad to ios17 two nights ago. Tried to play from a playlist yesterday, one played then it stopped, nothing would work.

I restarted the ipad, same thing happened.

I did a reset as advised, no change.

I did something else that I'm not allowed to mention, apparently (got a message saying my post had been "edited" but it was actually removed, thanks for nothing guys), also didn't work

Restarted again

Played one song from the playlist, then wouldn't play


Tried again this morning, won't play.

17.2 Has fixed the Apple Music Issue

Long update looks a full OS version as I had to complete setup again afterwards

I have an iPhone 13 with ios 17.2.1 and a 2023 Nissan Frontier and for the life of me I can't get Apple Music to play on wireless OR wired Carplay. Occasionally my Pandora and Tidal apps are affected as well. I can use Siri to access texts and my phone, Audible works just fine but ****** if I can't get Apple Music to work. I get an SSL error or sometimes it will look like it's going to work but it will just scroll through song after song with no ability to play them. I agree with one of the posts below, this is a first world problem but honestly it really is making me crazy. As soon as I leave my car, Apple Music works just fine, in my home, it works just fine. I have tried EVERY suggestion listed from Apple tech as well as other users to no avail. Come on Apple- fix this problem, it looks like thousands of us are waiting and counting on you for a solution.

I’m having the same issue in 2 iPhones, an iPhone 11 and a brand new iPhone 13, both running iOs 17.3.

When I’m listening to music it simply Abruptly stops, and when I hit play starts from the scratch, even if it’s downloaded.

I’m afraid this problem isn’t fixed yet, and nobody from support helps. Pretty annoyed! 😠

Any idea? how can I fix it? I want some real help from Apple experts and engineers, I’m tired of “ Let’s see if it works”

I updated my iPad (6th gen) to OS 17.4 and all my music/playlists disappeared! This is driving me batshit. The names of my playlists still appear but only very few songs are in them, either completely blank or massively incomplete. I am so tired of this. I do not stream music, I buy it from iTunes which downloads it directly into my Music app. What the **** is going on at Apple?
