how create shortcut to album

I'm trying to set up an iPhone or iPad for a spouse with dementia so she can single click a labeled icon and see the pictures from a particular trip. Opening an app and navigating to a folder/file is out of the question. The shortcut app offers every photo manipulation imaginable except for just opening an album. I posted this a week ago, didn't get any replies, and now I can't even find it so I don't know where it went.

Albums not showing in sidebar on photos (on mac mini) My albums have disappeared out of my sidebar. Specifically my 'shared album' and my 'My Albums' folders. I work from a mac mini. I can still access them via the menu View > My Albums > [Option to choose 'shared album' OR 'My Albums'] but I can not see them on the sidebar located to the left - please see screenshot below showing they are not visable. I have updated all the software while I was troubleshooting, and checked all the settings including following the instructions here on this website, but I can not seem to find why they are not showing. I need them to show as I sort images quickly this way. I can see the album in my sidebar on my ipad pro (I am synced between mac, iphone and Ipad), photos below to show that I can see both albums there. I can not for the life of me find settings to adjust the sidebar and what is viewable or hidden there. If anyone knows where it might be or how to do that, I would appriciate it.

Customizing Photos app and separating album photos from library in iPhone 16 I upgraded from an iPhone X to an iPhone 16 recently. (Ideally I would like to selectively go through and decide which new features I want in my photos app one by one but I know that is hoping for too much). Is there any control over the layout and functionality of the photos app that I should know about? I like that in this new version, I can finally rearrange the order albums appear in the 'Albums' tab. But I would like to know if I can have a picture in an album without it also existing in my 'Library' (general photos collection). For example, if I take pictures of my notes or books or something that I want to remember or send to someone or catalogue in a 'favorite books' album or something, I probably don't want those ugly pictures of text and whatever mucking up my general photos filled with nice looking things like places I've been, family, food and snapshots of my daily life. This seems like a basic functionality that almost anyone would want to be able to do and would be easy to program too, so I'm curious if there is a way for me to do that that I'm just not seeing.
