After IOS 17.1.1 update i can no longer connect my Widex hearing aids to my iPhone or iPad

I've learned a pattern when I change from iPhone to iPad audio, of turning off Bluetooth on the device I'm leaving, turning on Bluetooth on the device I'm changed to. I've then learned that if I powered down the device I was moving to, my hearing aids (WIDEX) would pair. But since the 17.1.1 update that rarely works and as of tonight I cannot get the hearing aids to pair with iPhone at all, no matter what. I'm dead in the water.

Try and ‘forget’ from all your devices. Power down the hearing device. on ios device, you can forget the hearing device, try and reset network settings… then power down the device for at least one minute.. now go and put the hearing device in pair mode while you power on the ios device, and pair the hearing device like its new again… hopefully that does the trick. If not, I’d say try the latest software update ands see how that helps.

howto’s:

Bluetooth:

settings/Bluetooth

pick the listed hearing device, choose forget.

reset networks:

Settings/general/transfer or reset phone/ reset/ reset network settings…

power off phone:

settings/general/shutdown

Hope this helps

I had this problem, tried the usual tricks and nothing seemed to bring up the devices let alone the pairing option. Then I shut of my ipad and the Moment 220 was recognized but only the left until I turned the right on & off. It then listed both as detected but not paired. Tapping on the > opened a small menu that quickly went back to the pairing screen. I did notice a bluetooth allow/not allow popup menu that quickly closed (~ 1 sec!) . Before I could do anything the pairing wheel returned. It took several reset tries but I finally hit allow as soon as the popup came up and everything connected. Weird but it worked.
