Pioneer AVH-1300NEX with Apple CARPLAY - works perfect ONLY w/ an older version of the USB to Lightning Cable

If i try to use a newer APPLE purchased USB to Lightning cable, my Apple Carplay pioneer unit basically reboots every 10 to 12 minutes or so. Frustrating! I have an older OEM Apple cable that is beginning to come apart, but i have zero issues with my Pioneer unit cutting off or rebooting as long as i use THAT cable. It must be a voltage issue or something. I see other CHATs online with similar discussions. I have called Apple to discuss with the technicians to see if someone can compare the old to new OEM cables. Possibly the newer cables were redesigned for faster charging or to work with newer Apple technology?? Right now there are three solutions: deal with the rebooting, find old OEM cables, or purchase a new radio for my jeep. Surely this is not Apple altering the cable in some way to purposely force you to buy a newer model radio unit w/ Apple Carplay???
