My iPhone 8 just shuts down when not plugged to charge and turns on after sometime when plugged back to charge.I’m quite worried about this because I can’t use my phone unless it is provided with charge supply.I really don’t know what to do.

The battery might be degraded to a point where it can't operate on its own, you can check the battery health status within the Settings → Battery → Battery Health and Charging, if you see that it's below 80% it means that it is in fact degraded. If you don't see the option in the battery settings, try updating your iPhone to the latest iOS version available for your device. You can service it at any Apple Store or Authorized Repair Shops.
