Did you download or install any browser extensions? If so, then one of them may be at fault here.
Try running MalwareBytes to see if this is malware.
Uninstall any other anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, and third party security software since they are not needed on a Mac and usually causes more problems than they solve. FYI, even MalwareBytes is not needed after the scan.
