I followed the instructions to turn off maps through the Apple Watch app. It shows it’s turned off but my watch is still giving notifications which is eating up my battery.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

I believe that you are referring location suggestions. These notifications are separate from directional notifications. If you do not want to see location suggestions, turn off frequent locations. To do this, on your iPhone, open Settings ➡️ Privacy ➡️ Location Services ➡️ System Services ➡️ Frequent Locations: Set this to OFF.

Double check the following settings:
Open the Watch app on your iPhone ➡️ Maps: Ensure that ALL switches are set to OFF that you see here..

Thxs Axel. I have done that and they are all off but I’m still getting notifications like 4 mins. To Home or 13 mins. to 530 Cornation Street (my gym) etc. If everything is off in my watch app under maps how are these messages popping up on my watch?
