Audio lagging/cutting out while playing games

Hi,

When I play games on my Mac the audio of the game cuts out a lot. Every other minute I can't hear anything for at least 30 sec. If I'm talking to people on discord while playing, their voices sound lower, the sound cuts out every other 30 sec. and I can't play my games properly. The Mac is updated to macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81) and up to date.

Any ideas?
