I may have found a solution to my audio dropouts with my AppleTV 4K (newest as of posting) by turning off Match Frame Rate on the AppleTV (the LG C2 has a frame rate option that I turned on in its stead). This seems to have worked. So far no issues after making the change and testing for about 15 minutes or so. Will update if otherwise.

Ok, so what I’ve discovered is that there are never issues with Dolby Atmos content but if the content is just 5.1 surround, you need to change the format (to ‘On’) and the New Format to ‘Dolby Digital 5.1.’ That means that you’ll have to change formats for different content but hopefully most things move to Atmos and this becomes as non-issue. Doing this works while having the Match Content settings turned ‘On’ for both Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate.
