A/V dropouts

I have a latest gen Apple TV 4K and ever since the update to 18.0 (and now 18.1), I'm consistently getting audio/video dropouts. My ATV is connected to an Arcam AVR11 receiver which is connected to a Sony A9S OLED TV.

During the dropout, both audio and video are lost momentarily, and then they return. When it happens while streaming Disney+ or other streaming apps, I need to press play on the remote. When watching YouTube TV, content/audio resumes automatically.

Settings: 4K SDR; HDMI Output: YCbCr; Chroma: 4:4:4; Match Dynamic Range & Frame Rate On; Audio Format: Change Format Off

This was not a problem before the updates to 18.0 and 18.1. I've swapped HDMI cables and it's not a cable problem. I factory reset the Apple TV and the problem persists. Is anyone else still having this issue?

Edit: I should add, I seem to only experience any A/V dropouts when actively streaming an app. I've not noticed any dropouts when on the homescreen or when the screensaver is running.

My issue ended up being with my Arcam AVR. It had been repaired earlier this year for having the same A/V dropouts problem (replaced the PCB/HDMI board), so I didn't suspect it would be the problem again. Combined with the fact the issue only started appearing after the Apple TV update, I was slow to pinpoint the problem to the Arcam. The Apple TV connected directly to my Sony TV has not had any dropout issues. The Arcam is off to be repaired again.

Okay, well no one else is complaining of this since 18.1 came out. Another thing to try is to see if your modem and router are up-to-date. Sometimes they have updates that need to be installed. You will have to check their manuals to see if there are any updates. If there are please install, then once again unplug the Apple TV from its power source for 2-3 minutes and retest again. Failing that the last thing to do is call AppleCare and see if they have any thoughts.

By the way, do you have any VPN apps installed on the Apple TV?

We are having audio dropping out issues on our Apple TV 4k 18.1 connected via HDMI to new LG Oled G4 TV. Bose 900 Soundbar connected to HDMI eArc. Everything is up to date. Cables all connected securely. Same issues with a new LG 55” Oled C4 with Apple TV 4K 18.1 connected via HDMI with a Sonos soundbar connected to HDMI eArc. We have Spectrum Internet 500Mbs service with a Netgear Orbi 700 satellite in same room as TV. Signal strength is full. I factory reset the Apple TV and have tried various Audio settings. Nothing has helped. If I switch to watching apps directly through the smart TV instead of Apple TV, I have no audio dropouts which isolates this to an issue with Apple TV.
