A new user account appears at startup called RED

When I first boot up my MacBook Pro, I noticed a new user as well as my own called Red. When I go into system prefs, no user of that name appears. However, I can't create the user either.

I have no idea how it got created, but any idea how I can delete the hidden user?

I'm still running Ventura 13.6

Old issue, new issue, what changed?

seems contradictory..

"A new user account appears at startup called RED"

"I noticed a new user as well as my own called Red."

what do you see from the Terminal.app copy and paste:

ls -la /Users

see if there is anything here—
