Since updating to iOS 17.1.1 my lock screen is black. No matter what I try to change in settings or what Focus I am on it just won't show my picture. I have even tried to change the lock screen to one of the Apple pictures via the settings menu but its still black. Any suggestions? Thank you

UPDATE: This is exactly what it was....
I did not have any focus modes enabled on my phone. But I ENABLED Sleep Focus mode, let the phone lock itself with screen time out, then woke it and DISABLED Sleep Focus Mode and the lock screen appeared as normal.
Disabling “Raise & Wake” has fixed my black screen issue, when rebooting was giving me only a temporary fix, and multitasking on the phone would cause it to go black again. Thank you!

and put option color filter off.

Turn off Do not disturb in your focus. When it’s on, the Home Screen picture gets blacked out
Disabling “Raise & Wake” feature fixed my black screen issue. Before I disabled it, rebooting was giving me only a temporary fix, and multitasking on the phone would cause it to go black again. How to disable Raise & Wake is listed here in this chain of posts.
I turned on the sleep mode on my Apple Watch and than off and now the issue with my Lock Screen is resolved.
For me it was just caused by do not disturb being enabled.
Has anyone who turned off their Rise and Wake feature having this problem?? I turned mine off about 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t happened since.
I think there may be two issues. The screen goes black and nothing can be done and then it’s the Lock Screen only (?) which seems to be different? I know on another thread there was mention of the ‘Raise and wake’ feature a couple weeks ago so I disabled that and it hadn’t happened since. I have the latest update also.
After updating to iOS 17.1.2 still experiencing black screen of death after charging the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The funny thing is, it’s not totally black death, everything works in the background. (In the darkness)
Unfortunately, the only fix to this issue is performing the hard reset. In my opinion, this is a serious issue that needs to be solved ASAP.
Keep in mind that we are talking about the most expensive cell phone in the whole world.

Reboot worked temporarily then sent text, screen black again. Rebooted again. Seems to be working now.
Hi thank you for your reply. I had already tried that and it doesn't work. The screen is black with my lock screen picture showing very faintly in the background. It's driving me nuts! Didn't have any issues until I had updated. My daughter told me not to as there had been some issues. Really appreciate your reply.
This happens to me after upgrade to 17.6.1
suddenly after phone call it went black and cannot see anything.
But phone working at background. Can get calls messages and all, but I cannot see anything.
Unfortunately fix to this we have to hard restart device, that too with much efforts.
For me it took 3hrs to restart (screen comes back only after 3hrs)
I want to downgrade my iOS back to previous version.
Please suggest.
