How to find out the owner of a MacBook by serial number?
My new MacBook Pro was stolen, I still have the serial number and receipt. Is there any way to find out who the owner of the MacBook is now? What account is activated on it?
With that serial number, you will be able to file a Police Report and a claim with your Homeowner's/Renter's Insurance Policy.
IF (and its a BIG IF) Apple had the data of what serial number goes with what owner (which is unlikely), they will not release it except under Court Order.
