Text Message Forwarding

Set up my M3 Pro MBP yesterday and everything went smooth and working great coming from M1 MBA.

Ran into a curiosity that I’m hoping someone can explain. I set up text message forwarding on the MBP as I had on my MBA and iPad mini. I clicked the slider in that menu on mine iPhone 25 PM and all texts were working on MBP.

When I went back to look at the text message forwarding menu on my iPhone, the slider was replaced with a perpetual ON with no slider. My iPad mini still shows the slider though. The same Apple ID is signed into both devices as well as the same phone number/email address checked on send/receive.

Any idea why the MBP would change to just ON but the iPad mini has the slider? Like I said it works fine, I’m just curious why it looks like that.
