Finished with Suica card

When you are finished with the e-suica card, can you transfer the balance (if any) back to your payment card?

Transferring balance from My Suica Card & impact on physical card Does transferring funds from an existing My Suica card to Apple Wallet simply transfer the funds, or is it canceling the physical card in any way? No, you have to use up the balance. Refunds are only possible if you have a Japanese bank account.
