Calls come through even when my "do not disturb" and "silent mode" are on.

A friend accidentally Facetimed me early this morning. My iPhone 14 vibrated like crazy, even tho DND and silent mode were on. If my phone is on, but I don't want ANY sound, how do I turn off everything?

Check do not disturb doesn’t exclude your contacts

Switch on Silent mode and

Turn haptic feedback off or on

  1. On supported models, go to Settings  > Sounds & Haptics.
  2. Turn System Haptics off or on.
  3. When System Haptics is off, you won’t hear or feel vibrations for incoming calls and alerts.

Go to Settings>Focus>Do Not Disturb (or whatever Focus you're using). Tap on "People". Is your friend one of the people who listed? If they are, remove them. If you don't want anyone to be able to ring through, remove everyone. Then, go down to "Allow Calls From" and set it to "Allowed People Only". Next, go to "Allow Repeated Calls From" and turn it off.
