Scammer Calling to pretend to be Apple, Inc.

It's Black Friday 2023 and I just received a fraudulent call from APPLE, INC at **** stating that someone submitted a ticket to change the phone number associated with my iCloud Account and then sent me a text to click on a link to cancel the ticket.

Avoiding Scam Calls & Popups:

Three things to consider...

A. Report this to Apple and Others:

Next time this happens, take screenshots of messages that pop up, and forward them to Apple.  Overview my User Tip: Using the Photos App to Report Scams: - User Tip

B. Malwarebytes Mobile Security:

If you were to use Malwarebytes Mobile Security then that may do the job, somewhat. It blocks out suspected scams, based on the sender's phone number. The paid version lets you report a number - once reported, it blocks it out, not even allowing it to go through.  Malwarebytes is created by longtime users of these forums, making it the only reliable Security Software for Apple devices. Go Here: Malwarebytes Mobile Security - App Store

C. Brave Bowser:

Try using the Brave Private Web Browser. It blocks out all sorts of junk. You can get it directly in the App StoreBrave Private Web Browser - App Store
