If you arranged to trade-in your old Mac on your new Mac, Apple would send you instructions / packaging.

You could look on Shopping Help - Apple : and check your order status : click on "Go to your order"

You’ll have 14 days after you receive your new device to return trade-in.

When trading this in, Apple would send you an eMail. In that eMail, there is a link that allows you to track this down. So, see if you have yet receive it, as of yet.
