Trade in locked iPhone

My phone is locked by the carrier I want to do a trade in how would that work

doubt they would pay you if it's IMEI locked suppose they would fear it was stolen devices


but you can reach out to them to verify it

"Carrier locked" is not the same thing as "IMEI blacklisted".


Still, I'm guessing that Apple sells unlocked phones in the Certified Refurbished section of their store, so a phone that was locked to receiving cellular service from a single carrier might not have much, if any, trade-in value.
