I in fact, purchased the Printshop for Mac Sonoma. It is much more sophisticated than the one I used for many years. But it works just fine. I'm now on a steep learning curve on it. I'm a little disappointed that the texting feature doesn't offer the many style variations that the old software had. I just have to be less fancy with text.

With a bit of help from Broderbund support, I got the download and set up the program. Be assured, Broderbund (by Encore) does back up their product, and their support system is good. This version of Printshop for Mac is good, not fantastic. It's as good as the Printshop program that I used over ten years ago. Of course, one would want it to be much improved over that time. As I look online, I see very few greeting card programs that are rated better than "Poor". How can this be??? Our computers are far superior, but I guess there is not enough profit in creating a truly usable and reliable program.
As an alternative I use Hallmark Card Studio which works fine on my Mac.
I just tried that link. It looks legit, the website very familiar. Yet after I paid for a download and the dmg file arrived, my Mac warns me that it may be illegitimate, and advises me to not open it. I have a long history with Broderbund Printshop and have found it the most usable greeting card designing software available. But now I'm hesitant to open the dmg file. The Mac app store has very few card printing software choices and all are rated quite low. Hoping to call Broderbund in the morning to see what's wrong with the dmg.
