Lyft App won’t allow deletion of Apple Pay as payment option

Has anyone had a problem in the Lyft app where you cannot delete Apple Pay as a payment option? I initially put Apple Pay as a secondary/ backup payment option. Now I want to put in a different payment method as backup. Please note - I already have a Visa card as my main payment. And you do not necessarily need a backup payment. After contacting Lyft several times in the customer service chat ( there is no phone number to call ) , Lyft says after Apple Pay is put into their system it cannot be removed. Same for Google pay. They have no solution for this issue and don’t seem too concerned in solving it. They simply said “ oh don’t worry, we will only charge the primary card “. Then they rudely and abruptly end the chat . This is no consolation because they actually did charge my Apple Pay for my first ride, even though I had a primary Visa on file. Sooo….?? I don’t feel comfortable leaving my Apple Pay in their system. There is no solution and I have let Apple know about this issue and they too have no solution. Anyone else notice this?
