Facebook Marketplace crashing on iPad

Had an older iPad Air, 3rd gen., and Facebook Marketplace crashed the app frequently after minimal scrolling. I thought it was due to the age of the iPad and low memory (64gb). Recently got a new iPad 9th gen. 256gb. Having the same crashing issue. Really annoying. All software is up-to-date, solid brand new fiber internet Wi-Fi connection. Anybody else? Is there a fix? Looks like this is not an uncommon issue.
