Apple Watch stoped being a watch

So, since the latest upgrade (WatchOS10.1.1) my watch is neither showing different watch faces nor the time nor any of the hub settings. I can still use the wheel and the button, but it's basically stoped being a watch. Anyone have suggestions on how to reboot this thing without completely wiping it?

Apple Watch 8, view options lock out My Apple Watch 8 is stuck in view options screen. The only option being offered so far is to restart the watch. This gets tiresome when I have to do it on a regular basis - every few days. When will Apple be providing an update to fix this?

Can't get apple watch control centre to come up, in spite of a watch reboot Since the most recent watch software update, whenever I swipe up on the watch, I am greeted with a Day/date/time and the start of my fitness app. Tried rebooting the watch but still won't show you the control screen...any way to force a control screen to appear? Problem is that it appears as if silent mode or theatre mode is set to on and hence can't turn them off.
