when I buy my kid an app on the apple app store in the family plan do i get it too

My family sharing has purchase sharing enabled but after my kid requested an app, I allowed the purchase, and then he downloaded it, I can't download the app. The app is Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. If I go to the app on the app store it says it still costs 19.99.

I ended up giving in and going through the purchase process to re-buy "Sketchbook Pro". In the final step, the app store had a popup message informing me that the app had already been purchased. And all I had to do was press OK to download the app, and not give them more money.

I agree, "Purchase sharing needs to be enabled." That is why the first thing I said in my post was, "My family sharing has purchase sharing enabled" I have attached photos of my family sharring in my own account and the sharing spcific to the application, "Sketchbook Pro". And my purchase receit. In the purchase receit it shows my sons apple ID and not mine.
