Hi, my old Iphone 6 works fine with a bluetooth helmet/headset, media and calls. But newer XS Max only calls through helmet/headset, doesn't show up on Airplay, hence no media played.

Try to “ forget your headphone “ in the settings > Bluetooth > your device name - “Forget this device”.
also try to reset your headphone by the steps of your device maker.

I did try it, and I did select both, Phone and Media, but still doesn’t show up when I play music, shows my Home theater etc, but not helmet/headphone. It’s since the new IOS update.
IOS 15 was working fine, IOS17 gives the issue.
