would like to purchase an apple magsafe battery pack for my iphone 13 but worrried it will not work with iphone 15 to which im planning to upgarde my other phone later this year. Worth purchasing the battery pack now?

Apple is not currently selling the MagSafe Battery Pack. It was removed from the Apple Store when the iPhone 15 was released.
Per chance are you referring to the Apple MagSafe Wallet? If so, then it is compatible with both the iPhone 13 & iPhone 15 models.
Otherwise, the Apple iPhone cases with MagSafe are iPhone-model specific.
