I’m trying to connect my Apple TV to my home wi-fi network from an iPhone/iPad but my Apple TV widget seems to be stuck on “Choose a TV”, permanently searching without finding anything. Can anyone in the community help? Thanks very much in advance!

You need to connect the Apple Tv to Wi-Fi directly on the Apple TV. You cannot connect to the Apple Tv with the Remote widget before its connected to Wi-Fi.
Do you not have its remote?
You will need to either borrow one or buy a replacement if you don't have the physical remote.
