Itunes 12.8.2 to 12.8.3 HOW???

I'm currently running Itunes 12.8.2 on my Imac mid 2010 (High Sierra).

I need to update to Itunes 12.8.3 because I can't connect my newly aquired Iphone 11 Pro (IOS 17.0.2)

My question is, how do I transit from the old Itunes version to the new?

I can't find any way to update trough Itunes or Appstore.

I've managed to download an installer for Itunes 12.8.3 (from here:Download iTunes 12.8.3 for Mac) but want to be sure how the process should be executed, to maintain my Itunes library and my IOS backups.

So what do I do from here on? Do I just go ahead and initiate the install of 12.8.3 and the transition will take care of itself? Should I deinstall the old Itunes beforehand? Or something different? Anything else I should be aware of, doing this update?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
