My Mac was purchased in April 2014. The system is up to date with OS Catalina 10.15.7 and Safari 15.6.1. to access the Chase.com web site, I must have Safari 16.0 or later. Is it possible to upgrade my Safari to 16.0?/

Safari 16 is only available on macOS Monterey & later versions of macOS. Not on Catalina.
I recommend installing Firefox; it is currently supported on Catalina & works perfectly fine with Chase. I use it myself.
