I'm told that I'm infected with a trojan called CSRSS on my MacBook Pro running MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1 , and that I need to pay for a professional cleanup, network cleanup & tune up of my computer. Do I really need to pay $200 to have this done?

Do I need Anti Virus Software for 2015 MacBook Pro I had a banner on the screen saying I had been infected with 5 viruses and to run a scan. When I clicked on Run Scan it said I had to pay for an upgrade. I don't have any problems with the MacBook so Do I need Anti Virus software. I've always thought that Apple devices aren't susceptible to viruses.

No. A message warning of malware will only be legitimate if you manually started a scanner or uploaded a file to a website; if you did, removing it would either be done through the scanner or by deleting the file.
