I have been working on a project in Final Cut for several weeks now. All of a sudden the entire timeline has gone missing. This is the warning that has appeared. I have TimeMachine. Would that help me get my project back? And, why does the warning mention iMovie?

Can you show a screenshot in column of the file path to the library?
Also, select the library and check permissions in the info window.
From its name I take it this was a project or event you send from iMovie to FCP. Was the original iMovie library in the same location?
There may be a system problem causing this. Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy & Security System Settings. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box.
Probably not. Where exactly are you storing the iMovie Library? It cannot be stored in iCloud Drive or any location that is accessed by cloud services.
I think I know what you’re asking. I will do so when I can sign back into my computer. The computer has become very slow. When I tried to go back and start up the computer about an hour ago, I could open the Photos app but it’s trying to find the library. It seems like a lot of the stuff on the computer has become damaged, if that’s what you call it.
I am trying to reboot it now.

thank you so much for all of your help. Some of the things that you’re discussing are far beyond my capability (grin). I have made an appointment with the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store. I will be visiting this Saturday. Hopefully they will be able to correct the situation.
My iMovie library is stored locally on my Mac’s hard drive.
