Digitizing video for FCP

I normally use Vidbox to digitize my footage from my analog machines & then edit in FCP X which up until Sonoma hasn't been a problem. However, with this OS their drivers won't load. Vidbox support blames it on Apple: "Our developers have confirmed the problem is that Apple has deprecated a component used in certain video device drivers. The developers will have to rebuild the device driver using currently supported video components from Apple". I fell back to using my trusty SONY DVMC-DA1 but audio & video are not synced. The video is going to my internal hard drive but I do have a thunderbolt array I can use. What device is the best A>D digitizer out there? Does's Apple have a habit of "deprecating" components in certain video device drivers? Thanks.
