How to move a photo from one album to another and delete from the first

Photos has no "move" command for albums. we can only add photos to albums.
Albums are not storing copies of our photos. They are just containing references to photos in the library, so we can add the same photo to many albums without creating duplicates.
But if you want to move a photo between albums, do it in two steps.
- Add the photo to the destination album.
- Then go back to original album and remove the photo there.
Be sure to use the "remove from album" command not the "delete photo" command. Otherwise the photo would be deleted everywhere, also from the album you just added it to.
