Camera app for Quicktime movie recorder?

When I record a quicktime Movie with my iMac Pro the exposure changes often when I move a little or turn my head.

How can I lock the exposure?

If not, Is there a camera app that will work with Quicktime to control the camera settings?

Can I turn off the video camera on Mac Pc and use another camera? I need to record myself playing a ukulele using QuickTime Player but cannot use the Mac Pc built in camera. I need something that can get lower and closer which I have found and prefer to use. I can find no way when connecting my auxiliary camera to turn off the built in PC camera and use the preferred camera. Any recommendations or maybe different software? QuickTime screen recording is not working I am trying to record the screen in QuickTime on my MacBook Pro. I have been able to do it in the past. Now when I click on the QuickTime app a Finder window pops open. After I cancel it and go to File the New Screen Recording is gray. I only get capture when I use Control/Command/5. I need to capture a screen recording before the 18th of October. Can someone help?
