You may need to go into Settings > Sound and set the output device to the Bose TV speaker.

The OS supports airplay on our living room TV and displays a basic 17" HP secondary display as audio outputs, but not these superior, simple USB-connected devices. Can this be correct and intentional? Why? (And by the way the device tag below is incorrect, this is a 2019 16" MacBook pro.)

bose 321 dvd to macbook pro via hdmi not working I'm trying to send my Bose 321 dvd signal via hdmi to my MacBook pro screen. The mac does not seem to be recognising the hdmi connection. Please tell me where i should be looking and what ishould be doing. Thank you

No sound when BOSE QuietComfort 15 plugged into iMac headphone port I have a 2021 iMac M1 with OS version 15.6.1. The iMac speakers are working. I get sound out of the headphone port using Apple wired ear buds. I get audio when I plug the BOSE QuiteComfort 15 headphones into my iphone. When I plug the QC15 headphones into the iMac headphone port I get no sound. When I unplug the QC15, the audio is played through the iMac speakers. I could use the QC 15 headphones with the iMac previously.
