Streaming to TV

I recently bought a lightning port adapter to HDMI to stream to my projector in my room for at home movies, except that when I plug in the adapter no streaming service AT ALL works, but miraculously it’s fine when I unplug the adapter. It’s most likely due to whatever “anti-streaming” software is used to prevent people from broadcasting videos via discord etc. It feels the exact same as when I try to do that, except I’m not streaming it for others, I’m trying to stream for myself in my own home with a cord. Please fix this, there’s been much public outcry for this issue that hasn’t gotten addressed since IOS 16.2 and it is now IOS 17.1
