Mousepad problems

When I first open my MacBook, the mousepad works fine. It moves and I can click things without issue. But as soon as I sign in, it freezes and I’m unable to move or click things. I’m unsure as to why. If anyone knows why, please help.

Are you asking about the built in Trackpad on the notebook computer...(?)

You do not say what specific "MacBook" this is....if this is "MacBook Pro (M2, 2022)"

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
