How to charge your Magic Mouse
First of all, apple does not not provide real time feedback while your Magic Mouse is charging. First you must properly connect your Magic Mouse charge port (underneath the mouse) using the cable provided with the Magic Mouse to a C-type port on your Mac computer. Just leave it connected for a while, 30 minutes or so, then unplug the cable from you mouse and check the charge level. If it has not changed, then plug the cable back into the mouse, but rotate it 180 degrees ( I am not even sure that this is necessary, but try it anyway. Then let it charge for another 30 minutes, unplug the cable from the mouse and check the charge again. If your mouse is not defective, the charge level should read-out at a higher level. The "trick" is to let the mouse charge for a while, unplug it and check the level. Since apple engineering wisdom seems to have been overlooked and one can only check the charge level when the mouse charging cable is not connected into the mouse. Maybe the name "Magic" was chosen because when you unplug the cable from the mouse after 1-2 hrs, the charge level is "magical" back to 100%
