iPhone lost mode pending

If my iPhone I lost mode pending and erase pending because it has been stolen should I not remove the device from my account? Thanks

Don'ts

If the device is removed from an account after it is erased, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use the device.


An example of my iPhone 5 is given in the GIF below. There is no "Undo" after you remove it from your account.

Hi, i see your iphone has been stolen.

A reason for the lost mode and erase pending still is because the stolen iphone hasn’t connected to the internet.

Lost mode and erasing a device from another device requires the device that you are erasing/ enabling lost mode on to be online and connected to the internet, since the requests go through the internet.

This might mean that the people who stole it haven’t connected it to the internet or haven’t used it.
