Locate and delete .mkv files from iPhone running on iOS17

I have transferred video files, a few in .mp4 format and others in .mkv format to my iPhone. The .mp4 format is visible in the Photos app but .mkv files are not visible in this app as well as in Files app. I want to locate and delete them since it's consuming storage. Also, I would like to see other files which are taking up storage in the Photos app but not visible. Any help in this regard would be helpful.

Some photos/videos not syncing to iPhone I have always chosen to sync photo files from a Mac to an iPhone. But sometimes I notice certain files don’t sync over. I am having that issue right now where I have selected in Finder to sync a folder I created specifically to host photos and videos I want to sync to my iPhone. But I notice some aren’t syncing and I don’t get any kind of error about it. They are a few .MOV files recorded on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, exported onto a Mac mini using the Photos app, and put in that folder to be synced by Finder. I could see this being an issue if they were filed recorded with a 3rd party app. But these were recorded with the iPhone’s built-in Camera app and left as-is. And the videos in question are very small files. Anyone have any ideas? I have already de-selected the folder from Finder, clicked to Sync to completely remove them from my iPhone and went through the process of syncing again only to be in the same position.

How to delete video files on iPad, that are listed as "from my mac" Hi experts, I have two video files, combined size around 8 gb that i no longer need. I cant, however, seem to be able to delete them. In my photos app, they are listed as "from my mac" (in danish "Fra min mac"). I dont own a mac and i have no idea why they are listed as such. Its been 3 or so years since i put them there. I can select them, but the delete button is greyed out. They may have been imported through dropbox, via the app Lumafusion, but i have since deleted Lumafusion, so its not because the files are in use by this app. Its a Ipad pro 2nd generation, 12,9", 512 gb without simcard. I run IpadOS 16.3.1. Its a slight issue, but its been bothering me for some time, so i hope someone can help me.

Some ( Large? ) Video files not visible via PC in "Apple iPhone" drive I back up my photos from my devices ( iphone/ipad ) to my PC. My Process is to open the Apple Device in Explorer, copy the DCIM folder to my desktop, and then compare folder sizes. If they match, I then go and delete the files on the Apple Device. This has become more challenging since Apple started adding so many extra folders - I have to go into each folder individually to delete files. I cannot delete the folders anymore via PC. This time, after deleting all the files, I looked on my phone and still found several. This is normal behavior as I have a folder on my PC that pushes some photos back to the iPhone ( wife, kids, etc ). What was different this time, was that I could see 2 very large video files that should have been copied and deleted. They are both over 4 GB, and do NOT show up via PC. Frankly, I'm not sure how to get them off my iPhone if they won't show up. Is this expected behavior? I am sadly realizing now that I might have lost numerous videos over the last year or two. I'm wondering how many large video files I've deleted thinking they were safely copied over. Inb4 "use iCloud". I'm not interested in using iCloud, the download rates are a joke, as is the 1000 image at a time download limit.
