You don't need the free version of Malwarebytes if you follow these recommendations: Effective defenses against malware and other threats - Apple Community and Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.
However, if you start getting unusual popups/ads them Malwarebytes would be good to have. You don't need the paid version a you can rmanually un the free version whenever you think you may have adware or malware.
First I recommend you update to Ventura 13.6.2:

Secondly, the latest version of MalwareBytes is 4.21.9 found here: (You can click the button at the top
labeled, "Free Download")
If you haven't already, try using Safari rather than Chrome to download it.

I could download, but I wonder that was a free version. I have a paid version. In order to access that version, I had to establish my account. I could not do.. by saying," this site can't be reached".
Chrome says, perhaps I am using a proxy server. (what is proxy seerver?. or it says, allow Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus setting. For me, these is beyond my skill.. I must turn tosomeone who understanbd those language. I tried as much as I can. Thank you.

Ventura 13.6.2 is only available for MacBook Pros (2021 and later) and the iMac (2023).
