How to add a credit card to Apple Wallet for use in India?

Apple and Samsung use different technology and require different privacy standards. Apple isn’t currently permitted to use Face ID in India. So, you want a less secure system, like Google Pay, is that right?

1. Payment methods in the Wallet app are not used for things like iCloud, Apple Music and other Apple services and subscriptions to 3rd party apps.

I was in Rajasthan in Nov 2024 Apple Pay works very well for me (German Credit Card) only on 2 or 3 places is need the credit card. I enjoyed it very well to have my credit card in the hotel and i can pay with my apple. My be already possible for European users?

Can Apple Pay be brought to India

It is only available in Samsung but it would be good in India if it works on Apple phone as well.

If it is not for India, then why you're keeping the application for India region

Apple Wallet can hold loyalty cards and other information. Apple Wallet can also be deleted from iPhones.

I think apple should at least allow prepaid cards with Apple Pay India, as they do not require that much of permissions and becomes a win win situation for government and apple users.

If that is true… apple could not provide security to wallets?

Apple Wallet and Apple Pay security and privacy requirements are higher than the electronic wallets currently being offered in India.

I think Apple take more time for developing ittt …. It would be easy for us in India. I hope it will come soon

If Samsung can have pay enabled with Indian regulations then why can’t apple ??

They could at least provide the basic feature of contactless payment like Samsung enables

The wait is about to be over and apple will soon introduce its wallet feature in India

It would be great since they now have a huge user base in India
