Control Center QR Code Scanner not working with deep links any more

The in-built QR Code scanner isn't working with deep links any more (links that should redirect to specific installed apps just open the desktop site instead).

The problem seems to be after updating to IOS17. Has anyone experienced this?

The Camera bar code scanner still works fine (including deep links) however the code scanner in Control Centre is more convenient as it requires less taps, just point the phone at the code and that's it!
