Disabling Calls and Messages on Carplay

I was wondering if it is possible to disable incoming calls and messages displayed on Carplay? I want to be connected to Carplay to use only the GPS and music apps. Incoming calls on my Carplay can be quite distracting.

I tried using the Driving Focus feature but it seems to only block off notifications on my iPhone. So any incoming calls still appear on my Carplay.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Turn do not disturb focus OFF permanently This is the most useless feature on my iPhone, and keeps me from getting calls that I really need to get. I’ve managed to delete driving, all the other modes, but I cannot for the life of me get rid of do not disturb focus!!! come on Apple can you fix this?

Ongoing calls on lockscreen (the call itself, not notifications) I want to know how to make active calls stop taking over the lockscreen. I think it is annoying because it forces me to swipe up repeatedly just to get to my home screen which should only take one swipe. I would rather just have only the little green icon in the top corner that way it's there when I need it but not in my way. I have seen the page about "using an app while on a call" and that is not a helpful solution. Is there any way to get the option to just simply turn the lockscreen feature off?
