I'm having the same problem. I have wired and wireless. I can connect my phone via blue tooth but it still won't connect to apple car play. It says to connect the first time with a USB cord. My iPhone 15 doesn't have a usb cord. I bought a converter to plug into the usb outlet but it still can't connect via apple car play. I have a Hyundai Elantra 2023.

Does your car actually support CarPlay?

If so, does it support Wired or Wireless Carplay?

Consult your cars user guide, for how to set up CarPlay and if and what type of CarPlay it supports.

In general, if it only supoprts wired carplay, connecting a USB cable to the proper USB port on the car would enable Carplay.

If it supports wireless car play, there's generally a voice button on the steering wheel to enable it.

What make and model of car do you have?

How are you connecting the iPhone to the Car?

All iPhone 15s have a USB port. It was the main change to iPhone this year.

Your iPhone 15 has a USB-C port and included a USB-C to USB-C cable in the box.

So yes it does in fact have a USB port.

You will need a good quality USB-C to USB-A adapter that allows data transfer and charging if your car does not have a USB-C port.
