I have a MacBook Pro and if I go to look at my photos, I can see that I have albums and other folders but when I go to a site such as Facebook to try and upload a photo, I can only go to my “recent” folder. How do I get to my albums?

That's been a bug in Photos for a while now. One way to get around it is to add a unique keyword to the photos in the album and then search for the keyword in the browser media window. OR export them to a folder on the Desktop and upload from there.
