the Bin disappeared Mac OS 12.7.1 Mail version 16.0

I wanted to check something in an email I had put in the Bin, but the Bin no longer shows up in the Favourites. There is a Bin for each account, all empty, but no Bin in the general section. I had erased deleted mail a couple hours before but did not th ink the Bin would also get erased. What so I do? (I still have the Bin on the iCloud page, but so what? I want it on the desktop. on an iMac.

Hover the cursor next to Favorites until you see the + in a circle. Click it and choose it from the Mailbox to Add: drop down menu.
