When sending a message what do the cloud colors mean

Message colors when sending a text On several web sites, I was told to turn off messages along with everything else, nothing works. What has after the last update (ios 17.6.1 when I send or try to send message to other I phones, the other phone color is green when it should be blue. Also all the text addresses I have that were blue is now all green. Especially my wife's I phone ADDRESS is now green. I have been on several sites on the internet, everybody has said the same, first turn off message, then turn back on, no work.

I am guessing (perhaps incorrectly) you’re asking about the message colors in Apple’s Messages app.

Blue indicates iMessage. Green indicates SMS.
