Using Books app

Is anyone happy with the horrible layout in books 17.1.1? How can I change the layout. I don’t want to see the pole bookstore at all. This is proprietory.

Apple Books iPadOS 16 The changes to Apple Books in iOS16 are terrible. The normal skeuomorphic page turn is now gone, the controls are hidden and difficult to find and enact. When the pagers turn while it dark mode, a flash occurs which is terribly distractive. Bring back the old one. I believe you will loose users of Apple Books, including myself, when I find an alternative that works with the. Apple Book library.

Pages left in chapter Has the pages left in chapter view option been removed from Apple Books in the latest iOS update? I so miss this feature.
